My name is Caroline Nathanson. I am passionate about nature and doing my bit towards saving the planet. I believe that being in nature is essential for positive mental health and wellbeing.

I am training as a psychotherapist at the moment and intend to do walking therapy once I am qualified. For now I am piloting a new range of Wellbeing Walks with Harrow Health Walks. http://w.gov.uk/wellbeingwalks

I am Level 3 Forest School trained and have worked in nature since leaving teaching in 2016. Until recently I worked with Forever Green Forest School https://www.forevergreenforestschool.com/ but have now given this up to focus on my studies.

Before that, I was a primary school teacher for 28 years, mostly working in Reception and Nursery classes. I am also first aid trained.

What I enjoy most in the world is being outside in green space and connected to trees.

My name is Simon Braidman and I am the co -founder of Harrow Nature Heroes. I have spent my whole life fascinated by local wildlife. I started to birdwatch when I was a kid.  I used to watch birds come and drink and bathe in a local river in Harrow.

My favourite place in the world is Stanmore Common Local Nature Reserve for which I am the site manager. I am part of a team of five wardens who work very hard to maintain the habitats of this wonderful wildlife haven which has bats and badgers, mice and millipedes.

I was a scientist and I have moved from Chemistry into environmental education, working for 6 years as an Outdoor Education Ranger for Hounslow Council where I ran school visits and guided walks in that borough’s open spaces and nature reserves.
